I really like this spoon. I think it’s too big for backpacking but it’s just right for car camping. I haven’t had a problem with the folding system it remains sturdy and it is very easy to clean. What I really like is the actual design of the spoon. The shape lends itself for cooking. The tip makes it easy to stir and scrape the bottom crease of pans and side walls. In fact, I’ve been using it at home and I’m trying to find a regular spoon in this shape. My wish is that MSR will shrink this and make it a truly compact spoon that will function both as a serving and eating utensil. I have the other MSR folding utensils and they are now my favorite camping utensils.
